Gen 3 puts itself in park

So… my wife who by her own admission, is a bit of an airhead or more PC, easily distracted, says she pulled into the bank parking lot and did not put her truck in P. She just hit the stop button. She says when she opened the door, the truck put itself in P. I haven’t had an opportunity to confirm that. Has anyone else experienced this?

But does the truck know to put the transmission in neutral, put on the parking brake, and then shift to park???

I do it also sometimes it even applies the parking brake, some times no. Any one know what the requirements are for it to decide parking brake? A steep hill or….
