Can't find too much on the forum regarding power steps for the Gen 3. Wife and kids need a lower step to access the truck. I previously had the AMP Xtremes on a Gen 2 which worked great (not available yet for Gen 3 as per AMP-smart and XL are available). Is there anything else on the market that people are using? Do OEM power steps from Ford (limited/platinum) work?

I went with the regular amp steps and they work great. With the OBD-II adapter, they are a piece of cake to install as well. Now I just need to get rid of the stock running boards I have laying around....

I tried the AMP Xtremes on my 2023 Gen 3, but could not get the drivers side rear arm on the mounting bolts due to some sort of box mounted directly across from it. The motor on the arm hits said box and prevents mounting. (I have no idea what that box is) I called Amp research and they told me the Xtremes will not fit the 2023 Raptor because of that box and they were working on some sort of “bracket” as a work around. I returned them and went with the Amp smart steps. The smart steps will fit because there is only one motor per side, on the front arm. Hopefully can install them this weekend. This all said, does anyone know if you can integrate the steps into the menu to get the menu controls via Forscan or something else?

I was on the fence with power steps because of all the D heads out there. My current Raptor steps already saved my paint from a door dinger that not only parked too close to my truck (their craptastic parking) because I was already parked alone but maybe this person wanted shade?!?

Anyways... she swung her Honda door into my step as I approached. Was an older asian lady and I noticed she hit my step instead of my 1 month old truck door so didnt yell just said park better next time. So after that I know power steps tuck too far in to offer any kind of protection. So that lady helped make up my mind... lol.

If there are a power step that stick out a little beyond the door I may be interested but have yet to see that.

^^ this is the exact reason why I do not plan on putting power steps for my wife and kids lol. I'll keep the OEM steps.

I just put the Power step XL on my 2023 Raptor 37 on Monday. I will try to post pictures. The wife used them yesterday for the first time and really liked em. My truck is loaded up with about 740 of cargo and cover, so it is sitting pretty low already. The XL steps drop down 3" lower so they are pretty low. If I do the Deaver Springs it should be about 2 inches higher. I'll go take some pics right now and add them on here.
