TLDR: Are Gen 3 live valve shocks plug and play backwards compatible with Gen 2 live valve trucks?
I have a 2019 Gen 2 that’s due for shock rebuild. I found some low mileage take offs from a 2023 Gen 3 local to me. Will Gen 3 take offs work for my Gen 2 live valve? Can I plug in the live valves, reset ride height and be good to go? Do I have to go to e-click if I put Gen 3 lives valves on my Gen 2 live valve truck?
I’ve searched and asked within other posts all I can find is that the fronts will bolt up, but not the rears due to different travel length. If that’s the case, is it a bad call to put Gen 3 live valves up front and rebuild my Gen 2 rear lives? Seems like different valving might upset the suspension. Price wise it’s close to a wash, but one prevents me from having the truck down during the rebuild…
New poster, thanks for letting me lurk and learn
