Intake manifold replacement for what? As far as the roof opening panels, clogged drains are not a defect, that’s on the owner.
I didn't ask why the intake was being replaced again. (it's a 5.0) Your point about the roof drains being his fault are exactly right. He refused to park in his garage. He deserved having a wet seat.

So, this is probably on youtube... What do we need to be doing to ensure we don’t end up with a clogged moonroof drain ?

So I am heading to the range last week and there is a mile long dirt road that the peasants need to take at like 15mph or under. Raptors, not so much, I can get a solid 65 but 60 is a bit more relaxed. anyway, so on my approach I figure hey, nobody’s around... OF COURSE I should open it up. I was windows down and moon roof open. First half mile was great, but someone was leaving so I got the speed under control, raised the windows and tried to close the moon roof. Nope. kept bouncing back. I stopped after 3 tries, didn’t take in too much dust. Finally got to the pavement and closed up the glass. I actually got a chuckle out of it, I had the shocks working pretty good for a little bit. I’m quick to give the moonroof cr@p for being fragile so to be fair, I can’t complain this time because the moonroof took my ham ****** throttle abuse just fine.

Mine has never leaked and truck is 10 yrs old. But the cheap plastic parts that move it broke into pieces about 4 yrs ago. I now have money to get it fixed and appointment made next week. Praying they hook up the drains properly. Lol

The drains most often become clogged with organic debris, such a leaves, seeds, pine needles, etc. If operated in dirty/dusty environments, I’m sure that will also contribute. Trimmer line and water are an effective method of clearing the drain tubes.

I love the moonroof and I was well aware I would face issues with it. Let's see if this is a one time fix, or a pattern of issues.

Scary enough, the service tech told me that the pano moonroof is like your bathroom sink. When you run water in it, it drains, but if you throw a 10 gallon bucket of water in there, it will spill out everywhere. So basically the moonroof is meant to keep water out only when it is raining a little. I was not very happy with that explanation, lol.
That moonroof has some other issue, like cut seal or not square in the roof closing to far or not enough. It is a controlled leakage design, has to be because of body flex. It would shatter if locked down tight. Find a new tech, one with a brain. If the drains are good, then find the real issue that is overwhelming the drains.

Truck is "fixed". He said one side of the glass was higher than the other so they adjusted them. As for the air conditioning, it is working now. If it happens again, take note of what I am doing and bring it back in. Considering this dealership is 45 min from my house, I am not too happy with that response.

Curious what happened to the AC? My truck has about 9k miles on it and the AC stopped working today. Was on max AC and literally no air was coming out of it. Good thing it was windy outside during 95 degree heat so we could get some reprieve!

No clue. It has been back for a couple of weeks and the issue hasn't reoccurred. It is hot AF in Texas now too so I have been using the AC a ton.
