actually changed my mind already on the build. Going 801A with Carbon Fiber for packages, still doing all the same mods though. Powder coating from a local place is $150 per wheel. Likely matte black or dark gray to match fenders, not sure yet, will see what they have to offer and what I like best.

What made you change your mind from an 800A?

Curious because I'm looking at a 800A but maybe the 801A is better value long term.

Just found out that this truck will run $195.000 for me. What package I choose doesn't really matter. So I'll take all.

I thought about it a lot actually, I plan to keep this truck for at least 8 years with that extended warranty from FloodFord. I looked at the features that I wanted to add that were not available in the 800A based on the build guide. LED projector beams, upgraded stereo, carbon fiber, tailgate applique, 2nd row heated seats. There are definitely some features in the 801A I don't care for however. I guess all of these could get added aftermarket, so I looked at the cost (time/money/hassle) of doing it up front vs doing it myself best of breed with all the hassles and taking my truck into shops to get it done or spending hours doing it myself when I have a full plate already.

Instead of talking myself into thinking I can get by without these features (of course I can), I realized I don't need a new truck at all, I want a new truck, so I decided to get what I want. I don't want to regret not getting these features to save about $1,700 (difference between a hypothetical 800A with all these features added that I wanted vs 801A, I realize you cannot add them in real life but wanted to put numbers on it to make a decision). I bought a 60" TV in 2015, saved a couple hundred by not getting the larger model at 65". Every time I look at that TV from the kitchen I wish I would have just spent the damn money for the 65".

Aren't 65" TVs of equivalent quality about $100 now? Go upgrade. Whenever I buy tech, I do a price performance analysis. There's always a break point where extra performance starts to cost a lot more. I buy whatever is priced at the break point. It's going to be outdated in three years and land fill in five, so there's no point in getting the best of the best unless you have money to burn.

Makes complete sense. I am in the same boat as I don't necessarily need a new truck. Hell this would actually be my first truck lol so I was considering some cheaper options like a tundra, ram or regular f150. But I know if I were to pull up next to a raptor at a stop with any of the other options I'd be hiding behind the B pillar instead of puffing my chest lol.

Looking at the the options, I'm not sure what I would be missing with going with one over the other. Like it's been said you can't miss what you never had. I don't do any major offroading/desert running/rock crawling. That being said, the only thing I think I want from the 801A that isnt included in the 800A would be cosmetic purposes...tailgate applique and the upgraded headlights (and the 360 cam but that can be added). Not sure, for me, if the tailgate applique and headlights is a justification for the jump in price form 800 to 801. I would love to have the new bead lock wheels included with the 37 but that isnt an option and I dont like the other bead lock option so I also plan on powder coating the stock 17 wheels.

OW/CO/LF - Can't decide. I low key love the blue interior. Planning on Mag Blue TEs someday.
801A
37s
Power Tech - with as much order pickup as we are doing nowadays, I'm trying to be convenient to the people bringing groceries and whatnot...and keeping their dirty pheasant hands off my tailgate with the power lift.

Not to mention the tailgate step - I use that all the time

I can’t tell the wife I spent 6 figures in a truck ROFL.. not that she’d care...she would just start on her Land Rover kick again.
