After a few weeks with the Gen 3 and not driving the Gen 2, then driving the Gen 2 again, I can honestly say they "unleashed" the B&O. Waay better, more bass, etc. Probably not eurotrash quality, but it is a lot better.

It doesn't matter, both need to be completly upgraded to aftermarket. The real question is which is easier/cheaper to upgrade.

Only thing that sucks is the rattle from the front driver and passenger side speakers. Comes from the DCU module. Just need to take it in and have ford put more padding behind the module. One of the members here posted this...

More than enough for me. I haven't maxed it out yet, which was almost mandatory on the '18. I like it fine.
I think if you got into a vehicle that has a great system you might be disappointed. Just don't do that and you will be fine. Not everyone is into high end audio...but the sound can be amazing when done right.

I have a feeling that the speakers are pretty good but the limitation is the amp. Coming from the Jeep world we would take the amp out of the dodge nitro and put it into our JK’s. Much better sound and volume. I’m wondering if there is an amp similar size and connections from a different ford vehicle that we can try in the Gen 3. Or at least an aftermarket amp with wire harness (from like crutchfield) that can accomplish the same thing.
