Why don't I see any Gen 3 with 802a packages like I have on my '18?

Every Gen 3 I see is 801a or 800. Why?

Please educate me.
Ill shoot for the non sarcastic answer (tho i think some of it is deserved as a quick trip around ford.com spec/options sheet would probably give you the basic answer)

strategically the gen 3 is upmarketed vs the gen 2.
not exact apples to apples but there is more std content in 800a than gen2 and basically everything else option wise is in the 801a. there are literally no options left in the portfolio for an 802a in the same tiering structure as the gen 2 trucks [cue someone pulling a random option from the platinum that they would want on a raptor]

as noted above as result they used 802a for the raptor R

Thank you for explaining. I ask as I'm starting a search for 2021. So not being a new 2023, can't just build one online.

Gen 2 802 = Gen 3 801. Got it.

For you others
This is a Gen 3 string right?
2021 Raptor is a Gen 3 right?
Sorry the packages are not as obvious to someone who hasn't shopped for Gen 3 till now.
When you others write book on how dumb everyone else is for not being as bright as you guys please don't let me know as I have enough toliet paper.

I got my answer. Thank you again the mature people that most likely are those that actually own Raptors.

The others are not in Ford's target demographic anyway.

I will not be checking back on tread again. Which is sad, but that what it has come to. Enjoy.

Don’t get all triste guy.

Correct 2021 is the first year of the Gen 3. 21’s & 22’s offered the 800a but the 23’s only come in 801a’s.

Good luck in your search. I love mine.

Sounds like a Prius might be a better option for you.

802A for 2023 is the Raptor R package code. How do I know? When my original order went in the sales person acccidently checked off 802A and I thought they were adding $30,000 on top of the MSRP for my final price which drove me up a wall. Then I realized the mistake, it was corrected and I am the proud owner of a 23 V6 and 801A is standard for 23 V6. Hope that helps.

Be mindful 2021 Raptors weren’t subject to part supply and chip shortages as are ‘22-‘23 models. Don’t end up with a watered down Raptor. Since you’re doing your due diligence. Good luck.

sooooo you can call the 21s '801A+" models OR 22-23 "801A-"
