Gen 3 3.5 Eco into a Gen 2 Raptor

Not sure if this is the best section to put this in, but I have a 2018 Raptor that the engine just blew up in, so I'm sourcing out options for replacements or swaps.

And I'm just wondering, does anyone know what differences there is between a 3.5 Ecoboost in the Gen 3 Raptors versus the Gen 2 Raptors?

The Gen 3 engines are significantly cheaper where I live, plus have better version of the cam phasers, so we're thinking of swapping out the Gen 2 engine for a Gen 3. But not sure if there's been any significant physical changes to the Gen 3s that would make this overly difficult or expensive when it comes to extra parts?

I've never heard THAT before. Unless there's a local epidemic of totaled Gen 3's that were only damaged in the back.

Oh that's for brand new long block, not used. But yeah we were very weirded out when we got the quotes back from our supplier. Cause we're looking at like a 3,000 difference. Hence why we're wondering if we can make a Gen 3 work without too much difficulty.

(We were joking about doing a 7.3 swap, but that's a lot harder lol)
