This might be true, but I'll also add that I think you'd find a lot less G2 douchebaggery if it weren't for the handful of G1 owners pissing in our cheereos every chance they get.
I personally like the G1 Raptor, but when I see the nonsensical shit talking I'll come back with my own, which may make me sound like a ********* because I'll illustrate what the G2 does better, which is well... Everything.
Which will in turn rile up the Gen 1's that normally wouldn't start talking shit, but feel the need to defend when they read something they consider to be inflammatory. It all starts with a few bad G1 seeds.
Honestly, if some of you weren't so easy to rile up there'd be a lot less fuckery on here. That's part of it. Especially for the Sasquatch, MGD, etc types.
Second part of it is, there's still a Gen1 contingent on this forum, and honestly most of us have our trucks pretty hashed out by this point, and know what mods we want to do or not do. There's been 8 years of discussion on it, and there's only so far you can take any desert truck. So the only real active things over there will be "What did you do to your truck" or "Post pics of your truck", or "My thing on my truck broke, what do I do".
Whereas on here, you guys are still very much in the discovery phase. Aftermarket parts are still in the development phase, and that hasn't peaked yet. So you guys generate more content. Which generates increased traffic to this side of things. When a person comes on and hits "New posts" an overwhelming majority will be from the G2 side of the house.
So. Where does that leave us? FRF has a history of fuckery and loose moderation. For a long time it was seen as an impossible feat to get banned unless you were the most vile of trolls, or hocking chinese goods or **** pills. That's changed a few times in the last year, but we're essentially still right where we were, and that's the 'no-ban-zone'.
Love it, hate it, ignore it. That's the way a lot of us that have been around FRF since the early days like it. If you want a more heavily moderated forum, seek that out. Make a facebook group. Or even a pinterest board, but there's no need to go changing the status quo around here. People have always needed a thick skin to exist here.
Also, with the exeption of a few, not many of us hate the Gen2. We don't care for the attitudes of some of the owners "We're better and your truck is a peasant pile of shit"...."You can't afford it"....etc....etc. I'm friends with plenty of guys that run Gen2s, they're cool people, and I'd like them no matter what they were running.
