As the title says!

A guy I work with bought a Gen 2 (Silver SCAB Lex Off-Road build, pictured below) right before I got my Gen 1. He has no use for the bed cage that came with it (pictured below) and it is in all honesty overkill in a lot of ways. With that said, he needs the bed space and he’s willing to give it to me for free just to get rid of it. It MSRP’s for $2,600 so I’d be stupid not to.

My only concern is making it work in my 2013. I’m absolutely going to have to modify it to make it what I want, so I guess it isn’t too much of a concern to cut it up and re-weld it to configure to my liking. I figure it’s a great platform to at least have all the materials I want and then some. It does kind of hurt my heart to have to cut up something that’s that nice and expensive though!

Anyone have any thoughts or concerns I’m not thinking through maybe?

Thanks guys!

Get the f outta here. A free chase rack?! That’s some serious jealously BS right there!

as far as modifications you may find that it doesn’t need much. If anything at all. Grab it fast before he changes his mind put it in place and just see what you’ll have to do.

that is super awesome!

Super cool. Not that hard to install, even if you have to make a few taps in bed. You may get lucky and it all lines up, but I think it will need a little modification. Do it...

Dude, I know. I was originally going to give him $400 for it a few weeks ago but I didn’t have the heart to spend the money to cut it up and fab it when I could buy something specifically for my Gen 1 and have that go to a good home. But since it’s free, I can’t pass it up!

Sorry, been a crazy couple weeks. I got it man! It’s in the garage now and I’m going to start cutting on it within the next couple weekends. Started the measure and draft it up on paper the other night and I can’t wait.

I still vote that you should just sell it to me. You don’t want to go through all that work. I’ll take the burden off of you...haha
