The trx has already been confirmed by car and driver.

Yep. And look at how Dodge is pushing this...

Ram 1500 Rebel TRX - Special Edition Truck

"the RAM 1500 Rebel® TRX WILL BE the most powerful factory-engineered half-ton pickup."

Oh, and "COMPROMISE ELSEWHERE"

That last bit was aimed directly at Ford. You know, because of the lame V6.

lol your that special sort of ****** arent you? haha thanks 'Chief' Ya I'm full of shit. Make sure to come back to me next year and up till 2022 when you find out you were dead wrong.

You're the sort of ****** that claims on the internet to know Ford's plans but, as anyone with a brain knows, you would not be at liberty to disclose said plans if you actually knew them, which you assuredly do not.

I'll stop short of assuming you are a janitor at a supplier co. But that is, in fact, far more likely than that you actually have insider knowledge about the future 7.0 liter Ford Raptor, which has already been leaked to the press.

:lol2:

It doesn't have to meet EPA targets it's a specialty vehicle and doesn't make up a high enough percentage of fca sales. Car and driver says it's confirmed and happening, I think I'll take their word over yours.

Fair enough but yes it does have to meet epa targets...no such thing as a specialty vehicle in the eyes of government regulations for OEMs. If it comes off the production line for FCA and it is street legal it has to meet the same tests for DOT/FMVSS/EPA as any other car regardless of prodcution sales volume. Granted it will be a different number but it still has to meet same requirements.

The only way TRX rebel will happen is if it doesn't come from FCA as a production car and it is a an aftermarket option like an AEV jeep wrangler. AEV jeep wranglers that can be bought at a dealer do not have to meet DOT/FMVSS/EPA requirements as they are all aftermarket accessories.

The dodge demon laughs in the face of that logic, you're confused about the way those EPA regulations apply, it's been explained in detail multiple times around here because that silly argument keeps coming up.

you hit the nail on the head, I'm a janitor at a Mcdonald's down the street from a car dealer so I hear things. I just thought I would pass the information along. All my information came from the local ford service tech advisor that comes and visits me in the morning when he orders a mcmuffin.

Cool. But you should focus more on your job than theirs. One day, you might even make assistant shift supervisor.

Demon wasn't as hard to create as a TRX rebel...minor changes to already an existing 707hp platform, increased the cataylst efficency on a low volume engine is an easy cost to have the customer absorb. If Ram had a Hellcat in the truck currently it would be much easier to make the TRX rebel as most of the power train development is done as well as emissions compliance. Plus this is a $100k car that will see $30-$50k mark up. Case in point there is a business case for the Demon. If the demon sells for $130-150k with dealer mark ups what do you think a TRX rebel would sell for? Easily $100k.

It's using a detuned hellcat motor. I'm not interested in trying to convince you, I'm just laying out the facts, dodge says it's happening, car and driver says it's happening. If you want to believe it cool, if you don't also cool.

I want it to happen believe me.. If it did I would have a hard time not buying one if the price was right. I liked my ram 8sp ZF trans better then my Raptor 10sp, I liked the storage, ergonomics, and Infotainment system in my ram better my G2 raptor.

I don't even have any interest in buying one, I'm happy with what I have and still have more mods I want to do, but competition is good for the expansion of this market so I'll be happy to see it come out.

What about your "friends" stock jenn1 in the video?

Also, if that insane truck comes out I would pay 100k for it.. it looks nutty. :)
