GEAR Whine

I’m getting a fair amount of gear whine out of the diff. Anyone else? Is these just a bit louder than the 8.8?

i know this is old but my 23 R with 9k miles does this too, it seems to be normal. zero issues

How do you know its gear whine ? Did you hook up remote microphone and listen to it?

In 2wd there are like 5 rotating
Assemblies:
Trans, transfer case , shaft, diff, acle shafts.

The 10r80 makes a bit of a whining if that’s what you’re hearing.

Would be hard to hear gear whine over the supercharger whine while on the butt dyno.

I recognize the sound from swapping gears in a few vehicles over the years, most recently swapping to a 3.55 Yukon lsd in my 19 f150.

When I’m on the throttle lightly is when I hear it most, stops off throttle, can’t hear it over all the things under heavy throttle but I have more blower and borla.
