On our last run out of Reno I had some brake issues. My drivers side brake caliper ripped off the reared.

I was able to remove it, seal the brake system with a pair of vise grips and drive the truck the 300 miles back home.

Once the truck was back in the Bay Area, I took it to Shaffer's Offroad where we cut new mounting plates, welded them up and also added gussets so it will not happen again.

When I finally got my Toyo spares on my truck, the electric ram was not strong enough to lift the tires with out having to assist it. So I ordered an adjustable air spring with a lift rate of 500 lbs.
The guys at Shaffers designed the lower mount in cad and cut it out on the Torchmate Table. Once that was done we welded in the upper and lower mount, adjusted the spring and now it works better than ever.

Just realized it's been a very long time since I have updated this.
Haven't really done many more mods. Just been maintaining and fixing issues that come up.
I will try and start to cover some of the work that's goes into maintaining a truck like this in the future.
Meanwhile here are a couple pics from Baja a couple weeks ago of the truck working well.

One of my latest projects was to mount KMC bead locks. Personally I have never run real bead locks before so they are all new to me.

Mounted them up with new Falken MTs. I have been a fan of Flakens for along time and was very happy to get an opportunity to try out the MTs.
They mounted up pretty easy and I used a Snap On digital torque wrench set to 22 foot pounds. Took about 3 hours to mount, torque and balance all six wheels.
Trailered the truck down to Baja and put about 800 miles on the new set up. The Falkens performed great and showed minimal wear at the end of the run.
The one problem I did have was, the torque wrench was out of calibration and was under by 4-5 lbs.
I ended up breaking several bead lock bolts and bending two rings.
I have new rings and F911 (grade 9) hardware on the way and will be using a new torque wrench. Hopefully this will solve my issue.

wow, just amazing. went through all posts and in awe of the build. I really need to move to cali, seems like a lot more fun. I bet LE work is twice as fun.

Think it's about time I get this build thread updated. Hasn't been a lot of changes over the past 8 months. Mostly just prep and maintaince. However, I did add a Pedal Commander today. The guys over at SVC sent me one out after I ordered it up.
I installed it, set it to Sport 2 and damn near hit the truck parked behind me as my tires were spinning. I continued to drive around the parking lot cracking up at how quick the throttle response was.
I will give a full review after Group Thearapy with EXO next month.

Awhile ago on the ultimate adventure with EXO in Utah, I ran out of talent and clipped a fence.

I ordered a new bedside from Fiberwerx but the mold has changed since my truck was built. So I had to learn how to do fiberglass work to repair the damaged panel.

After the fiberglass work was done and the paint was redone, the truck went to Pullman Fabrication in Walnut Creek to have the damaged aluminum panels repaired
All the damage is finally repaired. During the down season I also took the time to repaint all of the tube work, suspension and frame.

The truck is currently at Shaffer's Offroad in Alameda for a full prep prior to Group Therapy and prerunning down in Baja two weeks later.

All of the shocks are getting rebuilt and a little more valving in the rears.
