Love that set-up,but having the factory tailgate extender,just not gonna fit...my extender folds into where the gas can is....do they make something that goes against the front of the bed instead?

The mounts and all that would work on the front BuiltRight mounts, but the problem is clearance over the wheel well and it would probably stick up above the bed rail as well (if that was a concern). We'd need to confirm measurements before we did this setup at the front of the bed.

The secret is, get full length bungees like these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M7KZX6B/?tag=fordraptorforum-20 run between the two rear tie downs and thru the can handles. I use this for gas, chlorine, and propane all the time. Works great.

That's what I do, unless I only have a couple jugs, then I simply fold my bed extender inside the bed and put them in the cargo area at the back of the bed, don't have much space to move around that way.

Sadly it's only 2 gallon. I fill up 10 gallons on each trip.

You can stack a 3 gallon and 2 gallon together on each side of the bed. Total would be 10 gallons.

Yes they can. We can stock a 2 gallon and 3 gallon together on each panel to give you 5 gallons on one side.

And yes, 2 gallon storage packs are also available.

Thanks Nick....really cant use anything that will go above the bed rails since I have a Tonn. cover,and looking for a mount that would maybe go against the back cab rather that sides....one piece along the back of cab....that fits below the rails,so I can still use my cover,BUT,when offroading,and cover is off,I can put gas/water cans....
I'll have to take a better look at the BuiltRite options...

I use two rotopax 3 gallon gas and just ratchet them down to the bed between the rings. Built Right is great and all, but it would be like $300 to mount them on the sides of the truck.

Just go to the hardware store and replace the end with the white cap with a smaller tube just long enough to flip the cap open and pour it in.. How you mount the rack is up to you, I built an entire platform with a spare tire carrier, MC wheel chock, and cooler rack...

That's a solid idea for mounting them and very secure. The whole purpose of the BuiltRight racks is to maximize space. The area under the bed rails usually ends up being dead space, but now you can keep it functional and helps keep things organized.

You can get a 3 gallon can in that location. But I get your point. The entire RotopaX line is about being compact.

If volume is your goal, we've got plenty of these 5 gallon cans from Holley for $40.
