It's simple - you have to contort your body or lay across the engine bay to get to the back plugs but it couldnt be easier. Unbolt the coil and remove, remove plug, replace plug, replace coil.

Just got some 542's from my local dealer. They are gapped at .030 Should I gap them down to .028 or leave them. Will be running a stage 2 tune from GOOSETUNED.

you can try it at .030 and see if you get a missfire, if you do gap them down to .028. Or just put them at .028 and call it a day.

I gapped mine pretty tight, for now particular reason but in around .027

My factory SP542 plugs were stamped NGK ILTR7N8 with Ford branded ceramic. You can still get the NGK equivalent to SP542. In my mind the SP542 were just Ford branded NGKs. The SP578 are 1 heat range hotter. I haven't been able to find out why Ford did a widespread supersede of SP542 with SP578 other than the SP542 seems really easy to carbon foul because they are a cold plug but OE for the 2.7 EcoBoost.
