Probably because FCA elected to make the TRX AWD because of the power. Any othe Ram and you have a choice.

Is the transfer case designed differently for part time 4wd with 4A (raptor) and full time 4wd (trx)? In my understanding raptor can disconnect tcase completely by driving the rear wheel while other AWD SUVs and perhaps TRX can’t do so. Even thought the power can 100% sent to the rear, it has to go through tcase.
