I really like the skids and sliders - looks like you're dialed in for the rocks! I'm not sure where its posted, but someone put up a bolt on diff/driveshaft protective cover which would complete your rig for the rock trails.

Let us know how you find the Raptor does on the rocks. I've done some mild trails, but nothing too extreme.

Gorgeous. I'm sure you'll get plenty of business from people who hang up the stock items.

I'll repost this:

Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I'm the guy that built the skids and sliders for Robs Raptor. The sliders are weld on and solid. Built from 1 3/4" x.25 wall DOM. They should do much more than act as a step. The goal was to keep things looking close to factory but build in protection that Ford never saw fit to add. Robs factory running boards were completely bent up when he brought in the truck. This should take care of any future damage.

The skids were designed to be easy to bolt on using factory mounts so that no drilling is required. They took weeks of design time and multiple set being built to get them right. Robs set is all 1/4" 5056 Aerospace grade aluminum. Light weight and stronger than the stock skids...if you can actually call them that. The skids still incorporate access for all necessary regular maintenance without removal of the skids. By no means are the Aluminum skids built for rock crawling but neither was the Raptor. We designed a steel version as well for the more abusive driver.

I'll try to get some mounting pic up tomorrow

Chris

Ouch!!! That is EXACTLY why I got the sliders. I also dinged my cross pipe and scraped some other stuff on an excursion and decided to get protected.

guys Hefty is now a Supporting Vendor, thanks Chris! We will be putting their forum online once we get the proper imagery and bio from Chris! As you can see from the pics, Hefty's rock sliders weld to the frame which make them true rock sliders, not bolt on sliders.

Welcome to FRF in your new official capacity, Hefty. Glad to have you aboard.

A group buy on your products would probably do really well here.
