installation isn't difficult if you're a fairly handy guy and have tools to get the job done. Just take your time, measure twice, and cut once. I think I used a 12" sawzal blade intended to cut metal. I can't remember the exact size of the largest nut and bolt that holds the bumper bracket into the frame horns. But you definitely need a large crescent wrench and large socket to get that torqued down. Rubber mallet comes in hand also.
Thanks for the response. I’m thinking it can’t be any harder than the FMIC install which took me longer than most I bet, but turned out to be easier than I thought.

Is a FMIC that much more efficient for a Gen 3 than let's say Cobbs upgraded stock replacement? One install looks to be much much hard than the other and wondered about tuning and stuff.

Not sure how the upgraded stock location IC and the FMIC compare but I can tell you that with the front mount installed, the difference is noticeable, especially with tune. The install looks daunting and I even considered having a shop do it. It’s not hard, at all, just intimidating.

I pulled the trigger on a COBB FMIC and Turbosmart BOV. Hoping even without a tune(23's suck) that it'll help in this upcoming Bama summer
