Wanna wash my truck for me?

I'm only a plane ticket away!

Well netix i was going to say the same thing after all the off roading i have done this month and last month my truck needs it bad and a good buffing as well. You need to come out to Illinois and clean my truck

Where are you in IL? I live in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Looks nice, I put in an order yesterday online and couldn't get the brushes for the lug nut holes. Out of stock?

Yeah, they have been back ordered but I believe some of them should have showed up at the warehouse this evening, ready to ship tomorrow.

Man that looks good. Youd probably spend a week getting my engine bay remotely clean lol

That sounds like a challenge! ;)

That looks damn good! But educate me: Why did you add a sealant and not a polish or wax as well? Also, what's the difference between the three? Thanks.

Three different products here, all with distinctly different purposes.

Polishes are abrasive products that physically smooth out your clear coat, getting rid of swirls/scratches/water spots/other not-so-beautiful things that reside in/on your clear coat. Polishes leave nothing behind in terms of protection, they are just a tool to correct defects in your finish. Polishing is what makes your paint shine. There was no polishing done on this car, as per the customers request.

Sealants are synthetic products that are formulated for maximum longevity. In this case, it was applied because this RX330 is a daily driver and sees all sorts of different weather conditions.

Waxes come in many different forms. They are the very last step product (LSP) to be used. Waxes act as a sacrificial barrier between your finish and the environment it lives in. Waxes don't last quite as long as a synthetic sealant, but they are typically a little easier to work with, and they usually amplify the shine you've created in previous steps a little more than a sealant will.

You polish to fix defects. You seal for maximum protection. You wax for added protection and amplification of the shine you've already created.

Clear as mud? ;)

Looks great! Nice work!

Just curious - how much do you get for a job like that where you're located?

This job was done by Chase in Alabama, I'd imagine this was probably in the $200-$250 range. That's about what I would charge here in sweet home Indiana as well.
