Nope. Modern fuels have their own cleaner in them. DI has never required a cleaner.
You might be thinking of how DI ONLY engines get carbon buildup on the valves. This has nothing to do with fuel cleaner and the gen2 ecoboost doesn't have this problem.
What happens in older engine that are DI ONLY (the gen2 is DI AND PI) is the only fuel injectors are in the head, there's no injector in the intake manifold so no fuel ever hit the back of the valves. Without an injector spraying the valves they never get cleaned and build up carbon. Some.people even have to sandblast their valves with crushed walnuts. This is common with first gen DI VW engines and subaru WRXs (fa20DiT) The gen 2 ecoboost has a di injector in the head and a PI injector above the valve just like a toyota gt86 engine. The PI injector inherently cleans the valves by blasting then with fuel so no issues.
