Has anyone needed to replace the fuel pump assembly on their truck yet?
Is there an option for a higher GPH performance pump that we can drop in?

The other day I was merging onto the highway and I felt a slight hesitation at steady mid throttle. No misfire codes, no bucking or surging, just a slight lack of acceleration feeling.

When I got home I pulled the MAF sensor and cleaned it thinking maybe it wasn't reading the air correctly, but my next thought was fuel.

Im 115k miles supercharged. plugs/wires 20k ago, MAF sensor clean. Only thing I can think of is lack of fuel flow/pressure.

I do have an SCT X4 that I got with the JDM tune. Is there a way to data log the fuel pressure?

Thanks Zach

Jdm does have an online question/feedback section, you could ask them. If its only a one off thing, I wouldnt worry too much, possibly check your fuel injectors, were they upgraded when the supercharger was installed?

You can put whatever fuel pump you want in the hangar assembly, you just have to make sure you have the wiring to handle the draw and your FPDM can handle it.

Log your fuel pressure. If you don't have a way to do it Torque app can do it with an ecm module, its $20 not to have to chase ghosts. If you confirm fuel pressure is a problem then worry about it. If fuel pressure is steady and rising with boost you have a different problem.

I've talked to Jim, I was thinking it was torque management holding the truck back, or traction control interfering, but he assured me that they take most of that out in the tune.
Yes, larger injectors were installed

I have an SCT X4 that will data log, but I am pretty sure I just found the issue.
I noticed some slight discoloration around the seem of the elbow to the blower housing. Not wet, but definitely looked like something may have seeped past the o-ring.
Sure enough...the bottom bolt that you need three elbows and two thumbs to get at was loose!

I guess last time I had the elbow off to get to the back plug and coil, I must not have gotten the bolt snugged up enough and it started to back out. Just enough to let the compressed air blow by.

Snugged all the bolts up, and no more problems. Glad I didn't have to drop the tank..lol

Awesome fix, glad you didn't shotgun it with parts. That only leads to frustration and empty pockets.

@B E N Ya, I'm hands on and prefer a cure to a prescription..lol
Have you hung a better pump in the basket before? It doesn't seem like it would be too difficult, but at the same time, do I really need more fuel?
Livernois uses a $100 pump and charges you $300, so I would just source it myself..lol

If you aren't fuel starved I wouldn't mess with it.

I have messed with a few fuel pump assemblies, that pump in their kit looks like a 440lph unit which is largely the same size as all the other bosch/walbro style units. I think you could probably even drop in a hellcat pump, lot of bang for the buck if you need the flow. In most cases the physical size of the pumps are the close to the same, some have a larger base section. What usually gets you is the plumbing part, and whether or not you need larger fuel lines at a given fuel volume. I haven't done any power mods to my raptor, so I am not down that rabbit hole yet.
