For those struggling to get the fuel filler door pocket out without breaking off the tabs or busting up fingers, do yourself a favor and pick up some plastic body trim/door panel pry bars. I got this set on Amazon for $4.99.

Cheap tool that won't damage the paint and you will probably find a use for them later anyway.
You can just insert one in the correct location to pop loose a tab, move to the next tab, etc... I've indicated the location of the tabs here:
Hello Shark, thanks for the tip. I am definitely one of those struggling to get the clips released. I was not able to get even ONE released.
Question on the tools, are you going at the clips from the front, or back (reaching up through wheel well)?
I have ordered a set of these tools. Any other tips? My dealer wants $100 to fix, would MUCH rather do it myself... if I can get the damn thing out of there!
