Front Windsheild Tint

As much as I'd LOVE to cut down the heat, I can't imagine a single bit of sacrifice in clarity or light transmission.

I find it amazing, however, that even with a clear tint, that there would be any heat rejection.

clear Air 80 45% heat rejection

Ceramic 80% on my windshield.

All my sunglasses are polarized too, no issues.

I see the checkerboard effect on other cars on the road...

To the gentleman that is thinking UV is what transmits the heat...that is incorrect, sir.

Infrared light is the heat, UV is the burning/damaging.
So, yes. Factory windows do have an amount of UV blocking. However, they do nothing for IR.

Something important to note is that factory privacy glass does not offer UV protection as a tint film would and it also does not offer heat rejection at the same level either. So if you're thinking there is no benefit from tint on privacy glass, you are wrong.

I've had 3m, photosync, and HuperOptik products on several windshields. For me it's worth it just for the heat rejection alone. The 90/75% tint does not distort my view at night and they've all worked well with polarized lenses. It's imperative that you have it done by a good installer. Well worth the $200-250 IMHO.

My truck is now ceramic film'ed including the sunroof glass, and the difference is literally night and day. I've lost a full 20-40 degrees of heat in the truck on a 90-100 day when opening it.
my windshield is a little too dark for my liking, but is nice to have the a/c not have to be on full blast the entire time to maintain temps.

I have 20% on the front windows and 35% on the windshield. The LF next to me has no tint for reference.
