Ahhhh.. gotta love DIY mods. All of my wiring modifications look as good as, if not better, than factory. Heat shrink, etc.

I hate it when people start chopping up vehicles and have NO CLUE what they are doing.

I am in the professional auto repair industry and over 50% of my repairs are self inflicted. Everybody has a brother or cousin who is a mechanic and they always get the first shot at fixing it.

We have to fix what "their mechanic" screwed up first and then find the real problem.

Never gets old!

I spent a few hours yesterday pulling back carpet corners, rolling around under the truck on a creeper looking for out of place wire or holes, and pulled the tail lights just for the hell of it. So far so good.

He probably had some Recon headlights in there and spliced in the parking light wires for the halos and leds. Then was in a hurry or forgot to rewire when he put the stock lights back in. Just my guess.

Another thing that causes the hyperflash problem is overheating of the solenoid. Since electricity and resistance are directly affected by the amount of Heat, the frequent use of your signal during a hot day will lower that resistance and... hyperflash.

Basically I ran into this when dealing with my Retrofits + bumper fog lights, had to have the wiring re-done and sent to my trailer tow control. Anyways yeah... heat.
