Im confused on all this radio and off road gps talk. What do i need? I have a garmin and iphone if that helps?

It helps to have a vhs radio programmed to our predetermined event frequencies (see first post) to maintain contact with other trucks on course, corner marshals, EMS personnel, etc.

A standard Garmin GPS isn't going to be very helpful at this event aside from getting to & from the park. If you have a Lowrance, tablet/smart phone with Back Country Navigator or MotionX you'll be able to download the various course routes for the weekend when they become available.

Now, to address an earlier question about bringing guns and a going sport shooting. The answer is a 100% yes.

While in the area reserved for the event and while out wheeling they must be properly concealed/secured.

There is going to be an area available for those wanting to do a little sport shooting, but I don't have all the details yet and I'm not sure if it's going to be at a local range or in an unused area of the park (both are possibilities). I will have more info on this after the weekend.
