When the SCCA did this in the early 90s for only the second time in their history they allowed members to pick their number. You had to give a first and second choice in case your first choice was taken. There are some extra things that go along with the life membership like free hard card pit access at any SCCA pro race. GLRE has a season pass that has member benefits in this vane.

So I would think there would be something extra here for a life member maybe a gold star next to you name. Or maybe it's a great price and a Members Only jacket! But in all seriousness I am sure Birdman will come up with something cool.
