Can anyone share their experience on getting their frame straitened? Cost, what to look out for, what to expect, who to go to ect...

Thanks in advanced.

It would be helpful to have some more information about why you need to get it straightened, what kind of damage, etc.

For any kind of body work, I use Chapman Ford in Scottsdale. I have a small fleet that seems to have a target for each and every uninsured motorist out there, and they have always done excellent work for me. I am certain that they can straighten your frame, or know who will be able to get it done.

My body shop can easily do it. I have the typical bent frame issue and just haven't had my guy fix it yet.
Most any major body shop can do it. I would say somewhere around 3 hours of labor to fix at whatever thier rate is. Im at $65/hr, most large cities are higher than that.

Thanks Whtrapta,

Here is a screen shot of what the estimate was. That does not even include straightening the frame. They estimated another 6 hours for each side of the frame...? So that's another $576 at $48/hr. Something seems fishy to me.

Let me know what you think. Also we have another stock Screw and comparing it side by side my frame has no noticeable difference to that one so I don't think my frame is WAY out of wack and I put a level from the back of the bed to front and its maybe 1/2" low in 5 1/2'.

Attached are photos of the gap between the bed and cab and of the bumpstops. Any help to resolve this would help.

Also bought the SVC bumpstop kit from Jeff.

How do they fix it to where its not weak from the bend you pit in it in the first place? Jist wondering. Wherever you bend it at, isnt it already weak?

Straighten it then go with a quality bumpstop, frame support. My tweak was in the front, long story... However, the current upgrades should remedy any potential "retweaking".
