Are the stock Raptor's using ever inch of the shock at bump?

y

I have not taken the shocks apart yet so, it would be a guess.. My guess is they are using every fraction of an inch available... easy to find out if someone here is doing a perch change all ya got to do is install the shock back on the truck without the spring and raise the arm up and down as far it will go... That will let it move a bit further than if the spring was installed... Typically they have the suspension completely assembled, tie the truck down to the floor raise the suspension as high at it will go and cycle the steering side to side to record where things are... and then adjust where its needed then outside to test... repeat as often as necessary... But, the removal of the rear block is a huge change. if the block was 1/2inch no biggie but 2 3/4inch is a lot!

I'm surprised nobody has offered a shorter shackle for these trucks. Or if they have I'm surprised more guys haven't used them. Guys are always going up on the perch mod up front. Shackles are a quick/cheap way to get the rear up a bit further too. I know the front is lower than the rear stock, but IMO the top perch is too high with the rear stock height.

THe lightning and harley truck guys are always doing shackles. Longer shackles to lower the rear of the trucks and get a low stance.
