So it’s probably pressure if it’s like other vehicles and you’ll leave me guessing. Mine stays rock steady though which is what was confusing. Not even WOT causes the gauge to go up.

Ages ago, we’re talking Fox Body Mustang Era of the late 80’s to early ’90s... That’s 1980’s to 1990’s as in back in the 20th century, Ford stopped equipping vehicles with live indicator oil pressure gauges, and has been fitting vehicles with “idiot gauges” that basically show low oil pressure when the idiot light goes off. because they got tired of replacing defective senders.

It’s probably the same ‘idiot gauge’ being used in the Raptor. Maybe it’s been product improved.

Parts like these can live for decades. I had a pair of Kawasakis 16 model years apart that shared numerous switches, senders and other bits.

Yeah, it's pressure only and the indicator is either pressure-or-not. The actual sender does output analog data though and one of the nGauge profiles will show the actual pressure.

The main reason the OEMs went away from actual oil pressure gauges is the idiot consumers who had constant returns for warranty or just questions when the oil pressure gauge fluctuated normally... and modern engines and oils require relatively little pressure for full lubrication as opposed to old school engines that required a LOT of pressure just to survive less than 100k miles. Yeah, I was around when 100k miles was virtually unheard of on an engine without major overhaul work.

Thanks for the reply. What a waste.... I’ve been making it a point to check it every so often as means to watch for an oil pan leak. Feel pretty dumb now haha.

Wish if were just a “check oil” light then since it literally is just a binary on/off sensor... I hate non functional stuff. It’s going to bother me horribly now knowing that gauge isn’t even real.

None of the DTCs that start with "U" are serious and most trucks end up with them and they can happen from loss of communication between modules (or the response not coming as quickly as it was expected to come). None of the DTCs you listed point to a specific issue needing to be addressed so I wouldn't be concerned.
