But is it true no more scabs?? WTF, that can't be real????? If they come out with a supercharged v8 raptor and no scab, guess I will be keeping my gen 1 forever.

2021 Raptor will have a V12 Merlin. In the bed. Mid engine handles better, too. V8s are for *******. Optional equipment will be a roof rack with a mount for a JATO rocket. It’s true, it’s true.

with an optional tech package that will include stealth technology, and anti-TRX missiles. You will be able to fuel it without stopping either!

There are other ways to increase performance. The V8 huggers better buy spare parts for their Gen 1's.

Seems entirely plausible, at least for a limited-run Shelby type thing but...all the smack talk about 0-60 and top speed are really insignificant compared to the likes of Rivian. Coincidentally where Ford is invested. Not to mention that hideous Tesla thing. And partnered with Fox, not impressed by 2.5" Billsteins on TRX, c'mon Ram you're already 11 years late to the party touting "this is the truck you've been asking for" lol!

I think this is legit. The rumor mill has been floating this around for quite some time and, way too many resources are now reporting this.

I believe this will have two consequences:

1) The Gen 2's will depreciate overnight once it is released and;

2) This announcement will stop some Raptor owners (and potential Raptor owners) from jumping ship to the RAM. I believe they will have the "wait and compare" mindset.

Some people here keep saying that no cares about a V8 in the Raptor. Obviously that is not the case.
Ford would not be initiating this if the demand did not exist.

MHO :)
