My Genesis G80 integrated nav (and music info) in the center cluster, it was really useful but the directions only worked with the stock nav. Just as well, Google maps has integrated speed trap warnings now, but haven't tried it instead of Waze just yet. Be nice to have this and radio/music info in the center cluster.

A LOT of stupid and ignorant statements about not needing or wanting the built in navigation. Having to plug in your phone to use android auto or apple car play for navigation is just dumb and you lose the integration with the dash. I'd spend the money on the update and leave the dumb plug in your phone navigation for other uses.

Ford Nav is awful. Try this .. enter an address on your oem nav and then the same address with apple or google maps ... you will get 2 different routes where the oem nav just drive you to streets that you don't need to be on.

Been there...done that...Not true. I've even used it to navigate out of the back country in Eastern Oregon. I'm saying it's the bees knees over anything else. It's just very good and it much more convenient that plugging/unplugging your phone and I actually use the dash integration of the Sync system. I see the benefits of Waze/Google for sure and sometimes use them but having the built in Nav is also very handy and much more convenient usually.

What is the dash integration of SYNC how do I set that up?

On the trip/fuel tab select navigaion/compass. If you aren't actively navigating your display will show a typical compass but if you have an active route in your GPS then it shows turn by turn and speed and a graphic.
