This is a horrendous thread jack. Also, that SDHQ setup would be torn off in no time, the hangers are what looks to be at least 3-4" below the hitch.
Not at all, I talked to Vince yesterday and the traction bars do not extend past the axel and allow something like 14" of travel incase you upgrade your rear shocks and leafs.
I think the thread became crap when we thought it was being pitched as a "long travel system" and or best solution available. Truth is if you have the money there is a better system that allows you the ability use bags and upgrade the rear suspension with out one hindering the other. Not tryn to pump SDHQ but I know when Im looking for solutions I rarely take the less expensive route just bc its bit me in the past. Next weakest link and such...
We use the term long travel because this setup does not limit the factory suspension travel and allows the rear axle to droop out unrestricted. A typical air bag setup will restrict your droop travel, this one will not, thus it is longer travel than a typical air bag setup. I didn't think that needed clearing up, but there it s
Air bags are designed to be used as overload springs for towing and hauling and I don't really see the point of needing an airbag kit that stays connected to the axle through the entire cycle. You're not going to be off-roading or racing with a trailer.
Droop is unrestricted I don't argue. But let me ask you a question......as a vender that understands the way raptor suspension works...... what good is droop, if the suspension can not cycle upwards?? This is where "this setup does not limit the factory suspension travel" is not a true comment.
*Sorry, I meant to say does not limit factory droop travel. Up travel is limited by about 1".
Want to go racing for the weekend? The bags can be removed/re-instaleld in about 5 mins.
