This is a horrendous thread jack. Also, that SDHQ setup would be torn off in no time, the hangers are what looks to be at least 3-4" below the hitch.

Not at all, I talked to Vince yesterday and the traction bars do not extend past the axel and allow something like 14" of travel incase you upgrade your rear shocks and leafs.

I think the thread became crap when we thought it was being pitched as a "long travel system" and or best solution available. Truth is if you have the money there is a better system that allows you the ability use bags and upgrade the rear suspension with out one hindering the other. Not tryn to pump SDHQ but I know when Im looking for solutions I rarely take the less expensive route just bc its bit me in the past. Next weakest link and such...

Anyone with minimal knowledge of cars could look at one pic of this system and know it's not long travel in the true sense. Stock springs and shocks mean you are not getting more travel than the stock setup. Not that hard to see. Ford calls the Raptor "long travel". SDHQ's kit that allows for 14" would only be considered a "mid travel". Give the vendor a break...he's just trying to kick some boxes out of his warehouse and pay some bills.

Air bags are designed to be used as overload springs for towing and hauling and I don't really see the point of needing an airbag kit that stays connected to the axle through the entire cycle. You're not going to be off-roading or racing with a trailer.

Droop is unrestricted I don't argue. But let me ask you a question......as a vender that understands the way raptor suspension works...... what good is droop, if the suspension can not cycle upwards?? This is where "this setup does not limit the factory suspension travel" is not a true comment.

You are hired!!!!! The brackets need to be removed because they hit each other and bend. So if you can do it in 5 min you are hired.

Important Update

After a little bit of help from a customer of ours, we found out where the discrepancy is between our experience with this kit and that of those who have had trouble with it.

Unbeknownst to us, Firestone changed the F150 kit at some point and removed the height adjustable upper air bag bracket that allowed us to install our kit such that it offset the cradle and worked perfectly.

With a few modification, the current kit can be made to work the same way and we will either add the details to the kit and/or possibly make the modifications at our shop and offer it again as a bolt-on kit.

Anyway, I'll leave this up for a bit and then kill this thread and re-post it with the current details.
