So I wonder, are these 4 new sound mod settings just 4 different sounds coming out of the speakers to make you feel good? Not even heard on the outside?

No. It does actually change the sound of the exhaust. I wouldn't be surprised if there is corresponding fake audio in the cab as well.

37s are nice and the rear suspension, but i'm guessing its going to be very expensive. Like everything these days.

With the Gen 2, dealers always stocked up on the fully loaded models. I wonder if dealers are going to do the say with the 37s package. I would not be surprised if 35s become 'harder to find' or worth less in trade....particularly if the package cost and MPG are not that different.

Most people don't offroad their raptors, so, I'm betting the 35s will be more standard on the lots, but I've been wrong lots before.

It all sounds nice and all, but can one of the manufacturers deliver a truck like that for $50k, that's what they should cost, we are getting bent over backwards without lube, just to have some fun, lol.

yeah probably- but commercials like that cost $$$ bro haha!

When’s. Standard basic bitch 4x4 1/2 ton goes for $50k all day every day to begin w/, near impossible to justify selling a super capable high performance offroad variant for anywhere close to that price

a Ranger raptor? Yeah sure

could they make a raptor w/ cloth seats no lane departure no Nav no adaptive cruise no heated seats/wheel no this no that & get price down to that level....maybe.....but would it sell?

They typically know their customer base & market very well & will price stuff just enough on the high side to make people want em but not seem completely unachievable

I dunno....I just went through a raptor buying experience again &, I’ll just say even w/ a TRX & a new gen 3 coming EVERY dealer gave zero F’s when it came to concern whether they could sell the truck @ their price

FWIW

For resale value the 37s make more sense. The offroad guys will choose them exclusively. The mall crawlers will want the status. So the majority of buyers will opt for the 37s. Even if you don't want to run 37s all the time, you can always put 35s on the 37 package easily, but not the other way around.

Call it what you want that was the weakest, "release, debut, unveiling" I have ever seen. Ford needs to take a page from Dodge.

Maybe we're talking about different things--are you saying the Gen 3 truck itself is weak, or that this video is a weak way to introduce the new truck?

Gen 3 looks awesome.... But.

I'm pretty satisfied with my Gen 2.... So.

I'm actually relieved a little bit. I was worried that I was going to go spend $100k on a new truck this year.

Nope.

Agreed. I mean, I knew I wasn't - just about to pay mine off, and I want to get the wife a Navigator - but still. No supercab makes it a whole lot easier to swallow.

Since this is a video thread, I posted the offroad b-roll footage to youtube to make it more easily accessible. So if you want to watch that, here's the link. You can download/watch it from the official press release.
