Yeah that's what I was afraid of. Oh well, at least I can read codes etc. with it.It’s tied to a VIN

You can do that cheaper with a code reader from amazon. $800+ is an expensive reader.Yeah that's what I was afraid of. Oh well, at least I can read codes etc. with it.
My local Ford dealer didn’t know what a Ford GT was and why I was there to complete my allocation lol. Stupid.Without going through all 78 pages, does anyone know the part #?
My local Ford store has never heard of it and can’t find it. Not a good start lol
Only reason I didn’t do whipple was that you can’t store stock tune. But with the FP already, I wonder if the whipple tune was installed, you can just overwrite it with the stock tune stored on the FP.I was between this and the Whipple Tomohawk. Had a small gift card to cut down the price of the Whipple Tune and so i went with it. Can't speak to the FP tune as i imagine theirs is strong as well, but I am very happy with my decision. Damn 23MY doesn't allow for Goosetuned to do his magic so this will have to do for now. Very satisfied with the outcome and change in daily drive.
I may be wrong in my understanding of this. But the only way to get whipple to send you the tune is by loading your stock data/tune onto an SD card and then sending that to Whipple. They then send you a tune to load back onto it and program into your truck. From what I’ve read, it can go back to stock….. although I’m not sure I’ll ever want toOnly reason I didn’t do whipple was that you can’t store stock tune. This is why I will wait for Ford Performance tune or Goosetune would rather not jeopardize warranty especially since I’ve heard the Whipple tune still hasn’t smoothed out the rough gear shifting.I confirmed with Whipple customer service just this week that they do not store your stock tune. Only way to return to oem is to go to dealership and have ford do it.
2024+ Ford tune maybe close, last rumor was q2 2025, but it’s seeming like Cobb/Goose may actually never happen…This is why I will wait for Ford Performance tune or Goosetune would rather not jeopardize warranty especially since I’ve heard the Whipple tune still hasn’t smoothed out the rough gear shifting.
