Ford Performance Tune for Gen 3s

I believe the ECU, regardless of tune, has built in parameters for a limited percentage of adjustments up and down for fuel and spark. Whether you feel it or not will be up to your butt dyno unless you plan on getting actual before & after runs logged

I don’t own any windows based devices, so my options are to buy a cheap laptop for this one time use, or just pay the dealer. Which leads to two questions?

1. For those that had the dealer install, how much did they charge? While at my dealer today, they told me “probably” $250.
2. For everyone, factoring in the dealer price, would ya’ll consider this worth $900? That seems a little pricey just for a smoother transmission.

Can't you install windows on a partition on your macbook? Our local libraries here also rent out windows laptops for free.

I think it is worth it at MSRP, but I would never pay a dealer to install something that takes literally 5 minutes to do yourself in your driveway

parallel works just fine. No need to partition.

I have it. Dealer installed it.

it’s just pending CARB approval.

I installed the tune the other day and the main difference i noticed was a huge increase in the miles to empty calculation which has since gone back to closer to normal. Driving around town and even WOT I don't really notice much of a difference. Hopefully during off-roading it will prove to be worth the $$$.

As many have said, install is a breeze. Paying a dealer to do it seems ridiculous after going through the process. I'll be done with Ford if they try to decline a warranty claim for such a mild tune.
