As part of the negotiating for my new Raptor, I threw into the deal that I could buy all Ford warranties/accessories at dealer cost. I've been looking at the Ford Performance website and noticed a nice skid plate package. Is anyone running these?

The trails I vacation to have a fair bit of rock crawling so I would like to get some protection. What do you guys think? Are there other skid plates I should buy in addition to these?

I was also planning to get the diff cover since it has a drain plug and I think it holds more fluid.

Are there any other OEM accessories that I should consider?

I have that set and I really like it. I got mine from Foutz motor sports. Just be sure to do your own oil changes. Ford stealerships cry and complain about taking it off to to services. I always take my vehicles to Ford for oil changes until my warranty is up. The last time I went for a service I was told that the next time there would be a $50-$100 charge added for the plate removal.

I cut a four inch hole under my drain plug and added the Ronin plug, now it is a lot easier. I also added u-nuts to the plate to make removal a lot faster.

FYI - This mates with a stock front end, If you plan to do an aftermarket bumper you will most likely need to add a bend to the front of the plate, thus the reason I went to Foutz.

Maybe that’s the direction I should go since they are probably about the same price in the end. I am planning to add an ADD stealth fighter front bumper. Do you know if they work with that?

Dealer cost, the only thing harder to find than a vaccine for Covid. They can show you invoices up the ***** and you’ll still not know what they really pay.

Normally I would agree but in this case, it’s part of a legally binding agreement and NDA so I doubt they would try to hit me up for a few bucks and throw the entire agreement into jeopardy.
