Ford Performance Differential Cover at Raptor Assault

I went to the Raptor Assault Class March 15 & 16. The instructors said that the Raptors were stock except for the graphics. I noticed that all the Raptor Assault trucks had the Ford Performance differential cover on the rear differentials. I asked one of the instructors why they had the diif covers and he said he didn't know but he would find out. He went and asked another instructors and came back and said they install them because they hold 1/2 quart more fluid. I will be installing one on my truck this week.

One thing that the R/A trucks get is extra attention on the diff’s. That was true in ’17 when I went and I think still true. I think the question that was asked was - ‘do you do anything special or different to keep the trucks running under these conditions’? the answer was additional differential service and that was it. routine maintenance every 5k and the diff’s serviced more frequently.
