Does anyone know how to remove recall/repair notice from Ford Pass app? I recently received a notice on the app indicating that possible "door latch freezing concerns". when I called the dealer, they told me to bring it in when I experience it since it is not a recall notice. But this notice is stilling popping up every time I open the app.

The second part is my Ford Pass app no longer provides fuel mileage, vehicle location, tire pressure..etc, it doesn't sync. I purchased my rig in Jan of this year.

+1. I’ve done the first round of remediation and have not had freezing latches, asked them about it and S/A was like - yeah, no repair and the notice stays. So apparently you have to get the repair.

I don’t want to do that because they’ll cry about the dynamat (again).

The same thing happened to me regarding the Ford Pass app no longer showing the fuel mileage, vehicle location, tire pressure and such. I ended up removing the app and re-installing it and logging back in and the mileage, location, and tire pressure came back. I have a iPhone XR and that process worked for me.

I'll answer #2 first - Uninstall, re-install and log in. This usually solves most of the problems with the app. Ford is no better at developing apps than they are fixing the door lock issue.

#1 - I don't think you can remove it. Ford needs to see that the issue was addressed before it will be removed from the reminders. I had the first recall done when my locks froze. They did a good job but I didn't want them tearing my doors apart a second time. I asked if I could "sign off" on the second bulletin and was told I could not and the message would remain until the work was performed.

So, I ignore the app. I check my vehicle over better than a free app anyway.

thanks for the info....same here with taking my truck to the dealer. I hate to have them call out on my mods....Bullydog tuner, CAI, etc....figure they will document them into their system to deny future service.....

I was told the alert stays on the app as it is an extended warranty item past the 3/36 factory warranty

They will only do this repair if you have had a problem. If the locks have not frozen up, they will not touch them.

What he said. And the only way for them to remove the notification is by completing the work. So if you don't have the problem, it will never go away.

Holy cow, never knew about this issue until I found tons of ppl posting frozen latch. Interestingly, Ford doesn't seem to have clear fix for this problem. I will live with notice than take it in for nothing. Like others, my local dealer said come in only if I experience this. Since my truck is parked mostly in the garage and never see extreme temp, hopefully I will not experience this.

I got my frozen lock notice today as well. Why is Ford still dealing with a lock issue that dates back to 2015?

I would quit doing business with the lock manufacturer and hold them accountable for all issues.

Makes no sense that this is still an issue.
