It should accept it right away. You wont see the extra tab with the controls until the truck is built though.

mine worked same day that I got my VIN - the order looks like it went in on 2/10, I got the email on 2/13

Yes, I hate that BS. Ford thinks we all need to put it in park before parking brake is engaged. When I'm on a hill I want to put the darn brake in first!

Exactly, to take some of the load off the parking pawl. Annoying.

Ford Pass sounds very similar to Chevy onStar. With onStar, the base level of coverage is free - allows remote door lock/unlock, remote start etc. Anything more (reading tire pressures, oil life, and other info. from the ECU) you have to pay. You also have to pay if you want the ability to call the onStar agent and ask for reservations, directions etc (a concierge).
