The first time I saw a Raptor, it was a tuxedo black model going in the opposite direction on a two-lane road with a 50 mph speed limit. With a 100 mph closing velocity, the first thing that caught my eye and clued me that I was looking at a special vehicle was the Raptor grill. It was stock. He hadn't done anything to it. A dark grey grill on an all black truck was sufficiently eye catching. That's where I'm coming from, that and a basically masculine and conservative mindset. I honestly do not understand the desire to do anything to a 6,000 pound high performance off road 4x4 truck that detracts from its inherently overwhelming masculine nature. To my way of thinking, anything that does that is bling, girlie, cute, and just wrong-headed. Yes, yes, it's all about personal taste. But blinging up a Raptor is no different from hanging plastic testicles from the back of a Prius.
