Personally, I'd dump the order - getting a 2021 model by the time 2022 models are released is only going to burn you down the line on re-sale.
I really don't think that's the case. Yes, MY does matter on resale, but not as much as miles on the particular vehicle. Would you rather have a '21 with 15k or '22 with 30k? As well, I think it will be fairly well known that the 21MY was a freak year, with most of the vehicles produced late in the year or even in 22. And in limited numbers, which could actually increase it's value.
