I never used to be a buyer, but then I took a chance when I had a 12 superduty that more than paid for itself in the 6 year , 100k miles. Now my raptor has a 8 year 125k, Im just over 4 years of ownership and 64k miles and its getting close to paying for itself already. I find that if I have one its just easier to drop it off and get it fixed and not worry about the cash vs trying to find an independent shop to do the work or trying to source things cheaper etc. Plus the time suck of all that. Ill evaluate what I do past the ESP. The nice thing is it should be pretty solid keeping up on all repairs during this time frame.

Hi All,

In the process of purchasing my 2nd raptor its a 2017 with 25000 Miles (40k KMS Canada). Powertrain expires this year August 2022.
I didn't have my last 2nd Raptor (also a 2017) very long (less then 10k). I have read and heard of cam phaser issues etc. (All recalls on this truck and cam phaser have been completed).

I am somewhat mechanically inclined, however would not mess with a major engine/transmission issue.
Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts if its worth it based on past issues and experience?
Warranty would start from the date of purchase ( I drive under 10k a year now)

Below is the pricing I have been offered from the ford dealer I am purchasing it from ( If I do move forward thinking of going with the 4 years or 40,000KMS option). Thoughts?
Prices in Canadian:

3 YR 60,000 kms - $3995 (3100 USD)
4 YR 40,000 kms - $3895 (3000 USD)
4 YR 60,000 kms - $4395
4 YR 80,000 kms - $5495
5 YR 100,000 kms - $5995

Does anyone know why Flood won't allow you to purchase a warranty for a vehicle past the 41 month in service window but Zeigler will?

Looking to buy one for my truck which is an 18 and about 5 months past the 41 month window with only 16.5k on it. Flood is half the cost of Zeigler for the same warranty.

I think I paid the average of these numbers, 1800-1900USD, took me from 75,000 miles to 125,000 miles. Whatever the highest protection is from Ford.

Take your best Flood and Ziegler numbers and give Granger Ford in Iowa a chance to beat them. They are hungry for ESP business.

Just shopped Flood, Granger, and Ziegler for my 2019. Looks like Ziegler increased their discount code, as after the code they are the same as price as Granger. 50 under Flood.
