Eh, all depends if they were torqued near the yield point. What were tehy torqued to? Were they run with a impact? then torqued with a wrench? That joint is not one that can get to its yield point very easily, it takes a lot to get it to yield. What is teh thread size? and what is the dia of the bolt I can give you a approx yield point

Hockster has the right idea. The joint is pretty robust.... It'll be alright and have no problems getting to the event. But I would fix it before I start goin balls to the walls. If all else fails, a new set will run you probably less than 50 bucks.

I texted him last night about it. He said it would be fine but just didn't look right so I wanted to get some other opinions before I take action. He said he would look at it up at the event but would rather have it fixed before my 14 hour drive. As far as I am concerned, Jimmy can keep the install money. He is a nice guy and trying to run his shop by himself since he lost some help. I do not want to make a stink about a highly recognized FRF vendor. I am more concerned about the safety of my truck and family.

So why did you ask?

because this is where I was planning on going. This is also something I wouldntve caught on my own.

Found someone to fix this on Monday night, all set. Would like to get another set of u-bolts just in case but might not have time. Better pic

Is that after the fix? I hope not. This can be fixed in your drive way / garage with a ratchet and at most maybe a small hammer just to nock the bolts if they won't move easily.

Huck no. Just a better pic of the issue. I'll post a pic after Monday night when its redone. Guy is also going to install my new catback the same evening. He has a lift at his house.

You want to try and get the threads (showing) of the U Bolts as equal as possible. Now, you wont be able to get it perfect, but it should be closer than what you are displaying. The U bolts are of equal length to start and the leaf pack should be the same thickness at the axle pad. So.... you should be able to get the shown threads almost equal. A quarter inch front or back isn't going to hurt anything. You just want to make sure you have an equal torque on each bolt using a criss-cross pattern. You also want to ensure your driveline angle is correct. I had to use a 2.5 degree shim to get rid of driveline vibration. When I had my truck aligned last week the thrust angle was .03. Damn near perfect as far as I am concerned.

Anyone else notice what seems like driveline vibs? I seem to have some after installing my springs.
