That's not why I asked

I texted him last night about it. He said it would be fine but just didn't look right so I wanted to get some other opinions before I take action. He said he would look at it up at the event but would rather have it fixed before my 14 hour drive. As far as I am concerned, Jimmy can keep the install money. He is a nice guy and trying to run his shop by himself since he lost some help. I do not want to make a stink about a highly recognized FRF vendor. I am more concerned about the safety of my truck and family.

So why did you ask?

So was looking up the torque specs on this and see "torque to yield". Not being a mechanic, google it. Sounds like I need to actually replace these ubolts to have a shop fix this issue correctly, right??

They were put on two days ago if that matters and have about 300 street miles on them.

Any idea what type and size ubolts I need to get/find for this springs? I sent a msg to Jimmy but awaiting a response.

I leave Wednesday for Michigan so limited on time plus flying to Houston today for business and not back until Monday night.

100% agree

Ill even bring my PowerTank and Tools to correct this problem to more of your liking.

Yeah, but jumping at the dunes and 60 miles of trails? Jimmy and you from what I understand won't be there for that part so still thinking it would be best to fix beforehand. Need to replace the u-bolts since they should only be torqued once?

Eh, all depends if they were torqued near the yield point. What were tehy torqued to? Were they run with a impact? then torqued with a wrench? That joint is not one that can get to its yield point very easily, it takes a lot to get it to yield. What is teh thread size? and what is the dia of the bolt I can give you a approx yield point
