Take this for what it is worth. My salesman emailed me today and just heard back form his zone manager. He was told the chips are pushed back until December. Delivery would be end of December/January. May be true or not true. This is just the info I received. If true it sucks the big one!

Here is a post I just read on the Raptor Facebook group. Who the hell really knows anymore.

For all those like myself in microchip purgatory I have some news. I just spoke with someone from Ford about my build (direct number for this is 800-334-4375) and they were able to give me more information than FP could. Here’s what I got out of the conversation:
1. “The chip issue has improved and they have gotten and are getting more in. A decent amount of vehicles waiting on chips have received them and shipped.”
2. My estimated delivery date is 11/07 (yesterday). She stated that my truck is produced and waiting on a chip hold but this could also mean something else now. She spoke with a few other customers with the Mach-E and other vehicles that were on chip holds and their status never updated on the tracker past production date and estimated delivery date. Then out of the blue the car showed up at the dealer on or around (she wasn’t sure which it was) the estimated delivery date. Since my dealer was closed on my delivery date (yesterday,) she said to see if it arrives this week and if not call back on Friday.
So what it sounds like is Ford has tech issues with tracking these built vehicles once they go into microchip purgatory and they end up getting finished and shipped without anyone marking it in the computer.

My dealer told me something similar a few weeks back. He said mid-end of December delivery.

This is what my dealer told me last week. My estimated delivery date was 11/6 and I called last week to get an update. I asked if it was on chip hold and he told me that it wasn't and they are expecting it to show up sometime this week. The parts guy who I have been dealing with also told me that vehicles are just showing up at the dealership way before they were supposed to.

My business partner got his First Edition Bronco last Wednesday and his status on the tracking page didn't change until Monday afternoon.

I'm not trying to get anybody too excited and I'm not trying to get my hopes up, but it does sound like some trucks are being sent out.

I think this is what happen for a lot of us. They’ve set such a terrible timeframe that anything earlier will make things seem to be alright, not to mention that the tracking just doesn’t seem to be working well at all.

Yea it's better for them to set expectations low lol. Still waiting each day for that wonderful call from my dealer.. the worst part of it all is I get a bunch of spam phone calls every other day or so, and I get SO excited today the day and then its just those a holes "WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO REACH YOU ABOUT YOUR CARS EXTENDED WARRANTY

I think alot of these widely differing responses are due to individuals with different end goals. The salesman speaks to the zone rep who tells him Dec/ Jan so the salesman wont bother him anymore. Salesman tells customer Ded/ Jan for similar reason. On the other hand if you call Ford directly they will paint a very positive picture, some are shipping, chips clearing up etc because they are public relations people. Their job is to increase customer satisfaction and retention against you jumping ship to the competition. What does all this mean? No one who we can speak too has a solid idea of when the chips will show up, and if the chips that do show up will go into our trucks. Ford is a huge organization with so many moving parts the best indicator is to look at similar build dates and see if any are shipping out. That and the photographs so you can measure the amount of inventory on the ramp. Maybe the one-off posts from the guy who knows a guy whose an engineer could hold some value too. My personal opinion, I think they will start shipping them in a few weeks. Lets see what happens.

I called that number and I was told that my estimated delivery of 11/10/21 is the day when it is expected to receive its microchips. First time ive heard or seen information like that. In Prodcution is 09/30/21 and it is not ticked off, Dealer contact on the tracker says TBD. I guess we shall see what happens tomorrow.

This is the kind of answer I want to hear. I hope it’s true.
