Had a 2003 Cobra I bought from a buddy. Had it for about a year and a half and I never drove it. I had a 2004 Nissan Sentra as a daily driver that I sold to a co-worker. He loves it...good for him because I wanted to drive it off a cliff.

Before that, I had a 99 Lightning with a ported s/c, 4lb lower, full exhaust (headers back) and it put down 441rwhp and 530ft-lbs. Before the Lightning, I had a 05 Mustang GT with a Whipple supercharger on it and full exhaust (headers back as well) and it made 475rwhp and 465ft-lbs.

Cobra had a 2.2L Kenne Bell supercharger, upper pulley, CCW classics, 31 spline moser axles, built solid rear end with 3.73 gears, full Bassani exhaust, drag radials, and cage with 5 point harness. Put down 629rwhp and 546ft-lbs.

Oddly enough, the truck with 411hp is the least powerful vehicle I've owned since my first car (1997 V6 Mustang).

whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!?!?

I bought a H1 that was pretty but the previous owner did just that. Make it look nice but never actually do any maintenance. I put almost 12k in to parts replacing everything just to get it back to where it should be. I drove it another year then I started to have rust issues and was cutting away and replacing it all. It was like a cancer so I ended up selling it. A guy offered me 15k over what I paid for it 3 years ago! So I jumped on that I made it most my losses and got 3 awesome years in a H1. I might get back in to them few years down the road but It would have to be a 2006. It get way to cold up here for them haha

H1's are my favorite vehicles by far, you can probably tell from my username. Yes, I understand the rust issues as many owners neglect their H1's. I was in a somewhat similar predicament as you, but I never actually got to own a H1. My choice was between a H1, H2, or Raptor. Due to my budget, I could only afford a H1 that was at least 10 years old. The H2 was a little better, but unfortunately the last year they produced those was 2009. With all variables accounted for such as maintenance, age, used vs new, etc. I ultimately ended up with the Raptor. I have to agree that the 2006 H1 was and still is most appealing to me. My biggest issue is that H1's have increased so much in value in these recent years that the Alphas are now more expensive than what they were brand new off the lot.

It is always sad to lose a member of the Hummer community, while many H1 owners may disagree that the H2 and H3's partake in that community. Unfortunately, the community is already so small and seems to be diminishing more and more as the death of the brand continues.

You will definitely enjoy the Raptor especially because of its luxurious qualities unlike the H1. But I am sure you'll be back in a H1 soon

Welcome to the Raptor brotherhood!

I ordered my 2013 Raptor on March 1st and I am still waiting for a production date. My current ride is a 2001 SVT Lightning that I have had for 12 years and I still love it.
