Been lurking around here for bout a year and after trolling everything, looking for info on buying a new Raptor, I finally pulled the trigger and got one. Scored a new 2013 Tuxedo black Screw set up the way I wanted it.

New to these kind of trucks coming from Lighting's, Cobra's and a Z06 that I just sold off. I've had it for about 2 months and thought that I would register and thank everyone that posted all the ups, downs and inside tips of their owners experience so people like me can feel confident about the making purchase.

Already know a direction I want to go with mods, but first thing is to dump my Sony system and get some gear from busa.

Haven't taken much pics of it, but here's the only I got which is the day I picked it up.

Welcome. Other than audio; what you have in mind? You seem to already know the vendors here are top notch.

GREAT LAKES RAPTOR EXCURSIONS

For sure I’m going to get a new front bumper, leaning towards the Saints Offroad Bravo, but still tossing around the idea of one of the ADD's. Going to get a 40" LED bar to fit the bumper and probably more lightning as I find out what I will need. I'm also going to do the mid perch, but after reading alot here, I'm going to wait a while on it - but not too long. Eventually, going to do headers and exhaust, tune and the rest of the bolt ons. Just feel a little more comfortable getting close to the expiration of the warranty to do most of the work. The local dealerships are major headaches as I had to deal with them when I had my Cobra and Lightnings - they are not aftermarket friendly.

So for my short term goals, it’s pretty conservative compared to most. As time goes on, I will most likely mod more, it will be just coming across things that I like. I don’t do a heck of alot of off roading, but I do plan on trying to getting into it. Honestly, the last time I offroaded, I was 17 and I did it on the family's ranch vehicle - a 1987 Chevy Suburban 4X4, with a 454 and 3 spd auto so I’ve never really done anything I’ve seen you guys do on here. The last 17 years have been in low profile, high performance vehicles but I have finally moved away from that.

Oh a side note, I took out the Raptor on the back roads this last weekend and opened her up to see what she could do. It was all fun until the Border Patrol pulled me over. Guess driving like a bat outta hell a few miles from the border looks suspicious. Who would've thought....
