I think people worry about structural rigidity or something but really you are just folding the pinch which I would think makes it stronger and harder to come apart.

You don't even need front fenders/liners if you're sticking with stock wheels and BFG 37s. Just hammer the welds. It's easy, takes like an hour.
if you run it of road u should also bend the rear bed seam in. Depending on springs and bumps 37s will hit it and cut the tire at full comp-
