I say frustrating, because all the other idiots driving cars so un-prepared for snow. If you can't drive over 5 mph on a highway because your car and tires suck so bad, maybe you should have stayed home.

The Raptor and K02's did great in the 5 inches we got. Gave my self plenty of stopping room and starts from a light were just like dry pavement.

I took my daughter out in her GTI last night to teach her how to drive in the snow. It was her first snow storm as a driver. The lesson morphed into her doing donuts in the school parking lot. We got pulled over, but I was able to talk our way out of it. Cop was cool about it.

The stability control program on the truck is really good too. Huge difference between it enabled and disabled (hold for 10 seconds). It takes effort to get the back end to swing out with it on. Turn it off and the back end comes out so quickly it will surprise you even when doing it on purpose.

FYI, Weather mode reduces power and increases traction control. Not that you can't slide a full lane over if you turn it off and get stupid, heh

When conditions start getting bad, you'll be really happy to have weather mode, as it is well calibrated. However, if you find you are getting too much interference, or the reduced power is too much, just go Normal + 4A. I usually do this when the roads are wet. Play with both settings enough and you'll be able to know which one you want for whatever situation you encounter.

jaz13, that's why I laugh at the Gen 1 guys that say 2H locked is the way to go (for the Gen 2). I've done it; you can't put nearly any power down because the back end just immediately starts to swing out. Great if your navigating a tiny UTV course, but horrendous the rest of the time. A little bit of rally-style left foot braking and you can slide the rear end around no problem even in 4H + unlocked rear.
