hey all! Coming from the Jeep world, been circling the drain on selling my built Gladiator Mojave for a while now. Was considering the new Landcruiser, Lexus GX550, Ineos Grenadier, and mid-size trucks like ZR2/AT4X and Ranger Raptor. Test drove most of them as well.
Started really thinking about my use case and the trails I hit, and rationalized that a full size was a viable option as well. Window shopped some trucks and hey what do you know now I have a '25 Raptor 802a in Shelter Green. What a truck! The size will take some adjustment but I'll figure it out A friend of mine with a 2nd gen Raptor said you just have to think more about destinations (and parking), other than that its not too bad.
Local Bay Area dealers are sloowwwwly catching on to no ADM on the non-R Raptors. Took a little back and forth but Hilltop Ford near Concord made an easy msrp sale with zero hassle or attempts at any nonsense like add-ons, fees, etc etc. One dealer here had a 20k markup on an 802a and "would not consider any adjustment to that". Another had a 10k ADM on an 801a and "would consider coming down 1k" on that as a discount. Ok guys good luck to you. Meanwhile you can find any color you want for under msrp out of state, have it shipped in and still come out ahead.
Looking forward to putting some miles on it and wringing it out in the desert at some point. A few pics:
